The UPS Store will have a weekly schedule. As an employer, we understand the many family and community commitments our associates may have. Our desire is to work with you to develop a schedule that is beneficial to you and the most helpful to our customers.

Schedules

Schedules will be prepared monthly. It is YOUR responsibility to check the schedule on a weekly basis. In the event that a schedule is changed last minute, a manager will verify that the change will work with you and once you have confirmed that, will officially change the schedule via **When I Work.** The schedule can be accessed anywhere you have an internet connection via **When I Work.**

Time Off - Approval Process

Approved time off must be communicated at least 4 weeks before the absence. There are 3 steps to requesting time off:

  1. Submit requests via When I Work
  2. Communicate your desired time off with your Manager
  3. Send an email to [email protected] requesting the dates off and why.

If approved by the store manager, you will see the approved days off on your schedule via When I Work.

If you need time off within 2 weeks from the day you wish to take off, you must find a replacement for your shift.

Calling Out

If you are unable to come in to work for any reason:

Up Next - Harassment

Excessive Absences/Tardiness

Always be on time for your scheduled shift. "On Time" means before your shift starts. When you shift is set to start, you should be ready to work — at the counter, at the pack table, or asking your manager where they'd like you to start your day off! Punctuality and regular attendance are essential to the operation of our business. Failure to be in the center, dressed properly and ready for work at your scheduled time may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
