It is our intention to take a constructive approach to disciplinary matters to ensure that actions which would interfere with operations or an associate’s job are not continued.
Violations of our standards will result in one of the following forms of disciplinary action:
- Oral warning with documentation of the oral warning
- Written warning
- Termination
When deciding on a proper course of action, we will consider:
- The seriousness of the infraction
- The past record of the associate
- The circumstances surrounding the matter
Although there is no way to identify every possible violation of standards of conduct, the following is a partial list of infractions which will result in disciplinary action:
- Falsification of employer records including, but not limited to, employment application or timecard.
- Unauthorized possession of the employer’s or associate’s property, fraud, gambling, carrying weapons or explosives, or violations of criminal laws on company premises.
- Fighting, throwing things, horseplay, practical jokes, or other disorderly conduct which may endanger the well-being of any associate or employer’s operations.
- Threatening, intimidating, coercing, using abusive language, or interfering with the performance of fellow associates.
- Insubordination or refusal to comply with instructions or failure to perform reasonable duties to which assigned.
- Unauthorized use of employer’s materials, time or equipment for personal use.
- Conduct which the employer feels reflects adversely on them or the associate.
- Performance which, in the employer’s opinion, does not meet the requirements of the position or the employer’s customer service standards.
- Out of consideration for our customers, there will be no smoking in the Center.
